Dongyang MAO

Dongyang MAO joined Seastel Marine System(Shanghai) Co. Ltd. in 2026 and serves as a Systems Integration Engineer. He is responsible for the software experience that users see and interact with directly, as well as systems integration, including user interfaces, applications and their engineering frameworks.

His design and implementation work focuses on product information architecture, interface usability and end-to-end workflows. He coordinates interfaces, states and data across complex systems to make the product experience more consistent, understandable and extensible.

At Seastel, Dongyang MAO leads the development and design of ship collision avoidance systems, sail system control interfaces and hydrofoil dashboard interfaces. His work covers interaction flow design, visual monitoring and the optimization of critical operational workflows.

Previously, he worked with the Image, Perception, Interaction (IPI) research team at the Nantes Laboratory of Digital Sciences (LS2N), researching individualized gaze behavior prediction and patterns. He conducted experiments and developed models examining differences in user perception and interaction feedback mechanisms.

Dongyang MAO holds an engineering diploma in computer science and a Master of Engineering degree from Polytech Nantes, as well as a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Network Engineering from Shanghai Maritime University.
